John Ombogo is a government relations and programme leader passionate about building systems that improve access to essential services for communities.

At Ambulex, he leads public sector partnerships and scale across key regions in Kenya, working closely with county governments, national stakeholders, donors and private sector actors to expand access to timely and reliable emergency medical services. His work focuses on strengthening collaboration between public systems and service providers to ensure that more households can access life-saving care when it matters most.

John brings nearly 10 years of experience working across health, agriculture, and clean energy programmes, supporting large-scale initiatives that serve millions of people. Before joining Ambulex, he led government relations and compliance at Sanku, helping align national and county efforts to deliver impactful nutrition programmes. He has also worked with organisations including One Acre Fund, Kuza Biashara, and BURN Manufacturing, where he supported programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and policy alignment.

He is particularly motivated by opportunities to translate policy into practical solutions that improve everyday lives, and to build partnerships that create lasting, system-wide impact.

John holds an MSc in Medical Dietetics and a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics.
